Independent Media Distribution Plc has chosen five-ninesolutions as a technology partner after developing a new commercial delivery application.
IMD (www.imdplc.com) began operations in January 1997 and quickly became established as the premier digital distributor of radio and TV advertising in the UK & Ireland. It also distributes program material for radio and TV.
IMD is now the leading digital distributor of broadcast quality commercial advertising, new music and music videos. IMD provides the advertising and music industries with a reliable, fast and verifiable distribution service, which has set the standard for the industry.
IMD asked five-ninesolutions to design new computer systems to meet the following criteria:
- Efficient Cooling, with low noise
- Small Form Factor
- Aesthetically Pleasing
- Horizontal or Vertical Mounting
- High Performance
- S-Video, Composite, DVI and VGA Outputs
- Internal USB Connectivity
At five-ninesolutions we believe that the key to providing the optimal result is to use in depth research and fully tested components. Following that, the IMD final solution is robustly constructed and is easy to service.
The solution was provided to the required specification with custom internal wiring added to provide internal USB connectivity. The Windows XP Operating System was installed and customised and then IMD's new commercial delivery application applied. Finally the systems functionality was tested and approved before being direct shipment to IMD's clients.
