Car Camera Prototype.
Approached by a startup company with a good idea, five-ninesolutions pushed its design skills to provide a rugged solution to be used in the harsh environment that is the motor vehicle! Not just any motorcar but one that is used in fierce competition on the racetrack.
This Linux based product is configured to provide full real-time video recording and playback information relating to the front, rear, side and any arbitrary point on the vehicle. This information can then either be monitored real time through an LCD flat-screen provided on the dashboard or recorded for analysis later in the pits! The ‘in-car' control is provided by the touchscreen facility included on the LCD flatscreen mounted within the vehicle.
Although only in its infancy this product is set to revolutionise the way in which visual feedback can be used to improve the skills of a racing car driver.
