IBC SOFTWARE INNOVATORS PARTNER WITH FIVE-9s
Hardware customiser to deliver turnkey solutions for groundbreaking applications
IBC, Amsterdam, September 7th 2007 …Two companies, offering some of the most innovative post-production software applications available, chose IBC to announce technology partnerships with UK hardware customiser Five-9s, which will now provide optimised turnkey solutions.
ASSIMILATE (IBC 7.909) the creator of SCRATCH®, the real-time, resolution-independent, highly cost-effective DI data workflow, is currently transforming post-production with its robust feature set quality output to any format. Following IBC, SCRATCH, with its extensive creative toolset and optional plug-ins will become available as a fully-loaded server or workstation-based application, supplied and supported by Five-9s.
Nacho Mazzini, VP Sales for Assimilate said, “We needed a hardware partner with experience in the highly demanding and time-critical world of post. Five-9s has that together with the facilities and expertise to configure, test and deliver SCRATCH systems to our expanding customer base in the UK .”
eMotion Engines, (IBC 7.940) a start-up headed by industry guru MC Patel, showcased its motion compensation software to great acclaim at NAB 07. Working from SD/HD through to 4K and now dubbed DigiCrank, the resolution independent application is pitched initially at the DI stage of film and high end commercials. DigiCrank generates high quality slo-motion by creating multiples of each incoming frame.
“We use a phenomenal amount of processing power,” asserts Patel,” yet we are determined to keep the cost of ownership down. We partnered with Five-9s’ as its bespoke hardware configuration will provide our customers with the most powerful and most cost-effective solution.”
Andy Vasey, MD of Guildford, UK based Five-9s said “It’s very gratifying to have had our expertise recognised by Assimilate and eMotion Engines; two software-based innovators with great crowd-pulling potential at IBC.”
